Waste Producer Duty of Care in 15 minutes
Illegal waste activity costs the UK economy around £1 billion every year. If you handle, dispose of, deal or broker waste you have a duty of care to make sure you do not cause damage to human health or the environment. This online course provides an introduction to waste duty of care for waste producers, giving an overview of what it is and how to meet the requirements. This course is free to CIWM members.
The Waste Hierarchy in 5 Minutes
The waste hierarchy helps prevent the negative environmental impacts from waste management. This short online course outlines the basic principles of the waste hierarchy and why it is important to apply them to waste and resource management. This course is free to CIWM members.
